The Homer Public Library's ROADS on Mars team patch represents what is important to us about this challenge. In the center of the patch, we have the photo of the delta and craters on Mars where the 2020 rover will land. We included a rocket launching and a rover landing to symbolize the steps of the mission. We are also proud of our country and included the USA circle. We also choose a bright blue background like the blue field on our flag. We wanted to include the names of our team and made the names red like our flag. We each chose our own unique font because we are all different. We included our team name at the bottom of the patch. We decided to use green for that lettering because although we are an after school library team, our Northridge School colors are green and white.
